epa06661624 An undated handout photo made available by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities shows a computer generated picture imagining the colossus of King Psamtik I that was discovered a year earlier by an Egyptian-German mission at Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt. The colossus of King Psamtik I was unveiled at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir on 11 April 2018 as part of 4500 fragments, some of which date to the second millennium BC, found at Souq el-Khamis area in Matariya by a joint Egyptian-German archeological mission.
